We're building volunteer teams across South Australia to help share Build a Ballot within local communities. Think: putting up posters, hosting a political themed pub trivia night, posting in online community groups.

Interested in volunteering with us?

Volunteers played a huge role in helping almost 600,000 Australians discover and use Build a Ballot during the 2025 federal election.

Each election, we assemble volunteer teams — each led by a team leader who coordinates their local group. If you're interested in joining (or leading!) one of these teams, fill out the form and we'll be in touch closer to the next election with more information.

What’s involved…

  • A one-off (online) training workshop
  • Weekly check-ins with the Build a Ballot team and other team leaders
  • Managing a team of volunteers based in your local area. What you do is up to you, but think: putting up posters at local businesses, organising local events, coordinating Build a Ballot signage on election day.

This is for you if…

  • You care about helping people make informed voting decisions!
  • You have 2-4 hours a week available from now until election day
  • You’re organised, motivated and a good communicator

In general, we’ll organise volunteer teams based on electorates. If you live in a geographically big electorate, let us know what town / city / area you’re in too!

Volunteer Coordinator, 2026 Victorian Election

Victoria
We're looking for someone to help put Build a Ballot in the hands of Victorian voters ahead of the state election. You'll manage volunteer team leaders across the state, keeping the volunteer program on track and making sure volunteers feels equipped from orientation through to election day.
